THE FEDERATION · PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT

Something good is taking shape.

Meet Contingency — a place for people who like making things, sharing ideas, and finding their people.

Illustrated Contingency launch concept showing Teams, project spaces and Git collaboration in a futuristic setting
Launch concept using development-pilot interfaces. Features are still being built and tested.

Not just another place to chat.

Got an idea? Find a team. Working on a project? Keep your conversations, code and useful knowledge connected. That's what we're building towards.

Bring your people. Build something.

Some parts are already working in our private pilot. Others are still on the workbench. Here’s a look at where it’s going.

Teams

Get a crew together, invite people in and give your projects a home. Teams, invitations and project spaces are in the private pilot.

Conversations

Talk things through, share progress and meet other builders. Team Chat and community rooms are still being developed.

Git Collaboration

Bring your code along. The private pilot supports team repositories, branches, comparisons and reviewed changes.

The Archive

Good work should not disappear in a chat history. The Archive is growing, with review and publication tools still in progress.

A conversation can become something real.

An idea becomes a conversation. A few people form a Team. Then there's a project, a repository and a record of the work. The Archive helps keep the useful bits.

No popularity contest. No pressure to be an expert on day one. Just space to learn, contribute and build together.

We'll show you what comes next.

This page will be our window into Contingency's next steps, new features and future plans as we're ready to share them.

We're still testing privately. Public sign-ups, general access and paid opportunities aren't open yet — and we won't pretend otherwise.
